Help FIND AXEL....LOST or STOLEN Giant Schnauzer

step closer to finding our family dog Axel.
On November 17th my parent’s dog Axel, a salt & pepper Giant Schnauzer pup, went missing from their Deer Valley, UT home. Initially we thought he was chasing a bunny or a deer. But 10 days and numerous searches later there is no sign of him. We were realistic in thinking that he could have been hit by a car or taken by a cat. However there has been no sign of him anywhere. If he were hit, we would have recovered his body. If he were taken by an animal, there would have been signs of a struggle. The entire town and community of Park City has been looking for our dog, but we have no clues.
After lots of calls to shelters and discussions with animal recovery groups as well as police we have come to realize that it is very likely that he was stolen. He is neutered, has an ID chip and a tattoo so he can not be used for breeding purposes. However, someone likely stole him to keep or sell as a family pet. We are certain he is out of the Park City / Salt Lake City area. So that is why I am contacting you, both near and far. Please read and forward this link and attached flyer on to everyone you can think of from city to city and state to state. If you are going to your vet, please bring a copy to post in their offices. If you are going to a shelter, PetCo, PetSmart or any other store that caters to animals - please consider bringing a copy of the flyer and ask them to post it.
Axel is a beautiful dog, and quite rare. So if he is out there chances are he will be spotted. We are offering a $1,000+ reward, but it is not about the money. It is about finding this very special dog and bringing him home to our family. We love and miss him very much. There is a void in our home and in our hearts without him.
In closing I’d like to share with all of you a quote sent to me by a wonderful friend and dog enthusiast, Jeff, quite some time ago. I always knew the words were special - now I find them to be my mantra!
