She hired me to redesign her site which I did. I created her new her web site and built a beautiful, easy to navigate web site for her that was tastefully and professinally done. Upon completion and uploading of her site to her web host she attempted to say the site wasn't finished and renigged on payment via Paypal. I have witness that saw her new site on her web space and said the improvements were great!
Paypal sent me a notification stating Dolle had contacted her credit card company saying she paid for MERCHANDISE!!! trying to stop payment AFTER I had nearly completed her site!! There was no merchandise sold whatsoever and the site was done excpet for a couple pages. Can you say LIE?? She paid for SERVICES RENDERED as that is what web design is. There is no physical merchandise, it falls into the services rendered among honest people.
If you plan on doing any type of business with Dolle, I suggest you proceed with great caution. Dolle is ripping off her credit card company and Paypal company by saying she bought merchandise which is a bold faced lie when in fact what she hired me for was services rendered! She hired my service to create and build a new web site for her which I did.
This is a first in 10 years of being on line that I have been ripped off. I try to accept my clients carefully to prevent dealing with less than honest people but this just shows that all is not always as it seems. You like to think someone you have known on line for many years would not do such a thing. You just can't ever be too careful.
Like I said I won't lose any actual money because I decided a long time ago that I would set up one account for online business only. I also use a prepaid credit card for online transaactions. I only put the amount of money I need for shopping or whatever onto that card. Once the transaction is complete there is no balance left on the card until I am ready to use it next time. Same with the checking account. I have that account set up for verification only. I don't keep a balance in it and can easily close it in the event something like this happens..which is exactly what I did. So, the only slight inconvenience for me is that I will no longer use Paypal on my sites or for anything. I was able to protect myself from this type of theft by thinking ahead and taking precautions in case this were to ever happen..
If you shop on line regularly or use Paypal for anything I hope you can learn from my experience and not use your real credit cards or your actual checking account for your own pretection. You can purchase prepaid Mastercard Gold cards and Visa credit cards at most any check cashing business. I have never had an ounce of trouble out of using them. I like these cards because you don't risk your bank account if your card is lost or stolen or you are ripped off via Paypal or dishonest people like I almost was. You put what you need on the card and use it then add more money when you want to shop on line. Its truly that simple and in my case became a life saver and prevented me from getting ripped off by Dolle.
