Giant Schnauzer Rescue Protocol Handbook

Winston is an 6 year old Giant Schnauzer male who needs a new home quickly.

Winston came to the shelter severely flea infested and matted down to the skin. He also had skin infections from the fleas and his eyes had green discharge and were matted shut.

He has been on antibiotics and his skin is clearing up nicely. He was groomed on Friday. He has been sharing his kennel with another dog so we feel like he'll be good with other dogs. The vet and staff are guessing him at approx 6 years old, He walks well on leash and knows sit and food can be taken from him easily. He seems like a very nice calm dog.

His eyes were still having discharge so he visited the vet again today and she feels like he will need eye meds for the rest of his life and that will cost about $40 to 45 per month. (Unless it is entropian eyelid which can be corrected with a routine minor surgery.) Please let me know if anyone can help him. We'll be transporting again mid October to the north east.

Thanks,
